New build property. Luxury family home. 5,500sq ft of accommodation over four levels.
Sophisticated Home Design: Bespoke Interiors and High-End Finishes
Our clients contacted us before construction began to help them plan the internal layout of their new home. As the build progressed, we worked closely with them to develop a full interior design, ensuring the space reflected their vision of a sophisticated and elegant home, with high-end materials, fixtures, and fittings throughout.
The home features a grand, double-height entrance hall, where we used large-format, gloss marble tiles that flow seamlessly through to the kitchen, dining, and living areas. Lighting played a key role in this space, with the clients requesting a bright, light-filled environment with versatile lighting options. A striking feature chandelier was installed in the staircase atrium, cascading through all three floors, adding a luxurious focal point.
We designed a bespoke wrought iron and oak bannister to complement the shape of the space, echoing the elegant, timeless aesthetic the clients desired. Fumed oak doors were selected throughout the home to enhance the classy, cohesive design. Lightly textured wallpaper was also used in the main traffic areas to bring subtle texture and warmth to the walls.
The client, a passionate cook who enjoys hosting dinner parties, required a kitchen that was both functional and visually stunning. We selected a high-end Siematic kitchen featuring double ovens and an oversized island, with the gas hob integrated into the island, allowing the client to cook while engaging with guests. Copper was used as an accent, with a copper strip running through the kitchen units and large copper pendants hanging over the island. To maintain a clean, modern aesthetic, we used white quartz for the countertops and island.
LED lighting was strategically placed throughout the kitchen, highlighting key areas and enhancing the contemporary design. The kitchen flows into a cosy seating area and a spacious dining room, where we specified a large, polished concrete dining table paired with rustic soft leather dining chairs. To tie in with the copper accents, we added a statement Andrew Martin copper and glass pendant light over the dining table.
The home features two additional seating areas. The formal living room was designed with a classic yet fresh aesthetic, featuring full wall panelling painted in Farrow & Ball’s “Straw,” giving the room a bright, airy feel. The client’s bespoke artwork was the centrepiece of this room, complemented by off-the-shelf sofas from John Lewis. We sourced matching wall lights and pendants from Andrew Martin to complete the room’s elegant look.
The snug, located at the front of the house, was finished in Juniper Blue, with a simple off-white textured corner sofa. We incorporated blue cushions and accessories to maintain a vibrant and fresh feel. Black shutters were installed in this room, providing privacy and making it ideal for daytime TV watching, while also coordinating with the black doors featured throughout the house.
The home includes five bedrooms, with the master suite located on the top floor. To create a sumptuous and cosy retreat, we chose a deep taupe textured wallpaper, incorporating brass and amber accents in the furniture and lighting for a luxurious, boudoir-style atmosphere. The master suite also boasts a spacious ensuite bathroom, featuring bookmatched marble walls and heavily veined marble floors, with a double shower.
The clients also desired a separate walk-in wardrobe. We worked with a local joinery company to design a bespoke walk-in closet that perfectly suited their needs, adding a touch of personalised luxury to their private space.
Other rooms we designed include the home office, boot room and all bedrooms and bathrooms.
