Restaurant Space Design for The Fold in Maple Bridge

When we first met the Clients’ on site, we immediately sensed the opportunity to embark on a journey with them, creating a stunning restaurant that would not only serve delicious food but also be visually exciting.

As it was the clients’ first venture into the restaurant industry, they had the perfect chef in mind and knew the food would be impeccable. What they needed from us was a restaurant interior space design that could match this exceptional vision. Their desire was for a Scandinavian, mid-century inspired space, providing the ideal backdrop to showcase their beautiful culinary creations.

Redesigning the Restaurant Space

To achieve this, we started by stripping the space back to its bare brick, providing a fresh canvas for our resturant design. Considering that the restaurant’s focus is on food, we made a deliberate decision to reduce the size and relocate the bar. By doing so, we opened up the space at the rear and incorporated an open theatre kitchen, enabling guests to witness the chefs in action as they crafted their culinary masterpieces.

Enhancing Ambiance and Comfort

Recognising the importance of ample natural light, we introduced a new lantern and opened up the roof, inviting even more light into the space. To maintain an airy and clean aesthetic, we employed a light and simple colour palette, complemented by mid-century style furniture.

Additionally, we included a new run of fixed seating to increase the number of covers available.

At Fold Restaurant, you’ll experience the harmonious fusion of delectable cuisine and an inviting atmosphere that reflects the Scandinavian and mid-century inspiration behind its design.
